The story of Mr. Elona

Mr. Elona was a good man. A family man.  
He had three beautiful daughters, but he was tired. Tired of watching his lineage drown in poverty.  
Tired of the pattern in his family: born, struggle, die poor.

He wanted better. For his wife. For his children. For the name he carried.

So he went looking for help.  
And that search led him to a spiritual man who served the king of the marine kingdom - the god of the waters.

During the rituals, the spiritual man delivered a message that changed everything:
“Your wife is pregnant. But the baby boy you’re expecting will not be yours.  
He will be the son of the king of the ocean. That is the exchange for the wealth you seek.”

Mr. Elona was faced with an impossible choice.  
Break the curse of poverty in his lineage... or keep his unborn son.

He agreed.

The water god promised to fight the curse. To lift the weight of “dying poor” off the Elona name.  
And from that day, no one knew who the real architect of the family’s sudden turn was.

What is Water Boy about?

Water Boy is a non-fiction book that asks hard questions:

- How far would you go to break a generational curse?
- What happens when wealth comes with a spiritual price tag?
- And what becomes of a child born to two worlds - the land and the sea?

This is the story of a boy caught between destiny and sacrifice.  
A boy who, from the womb, belonged to the king of the ocean.

Why I wrote this book

Stories like Mr. Elona’s are whispered in villages across the Niger Delta.  
But no one tells them out loud.  
Water Boy is my way of bringing that conversation to light - with respect, with truth, and with the weight it deserves.
