I’m lying on my bed in Steel Township, purple walls all around me. My white singlet is sticking to my skin from the heat. 

Eyes closed. Breathing slow. 

For once, the world outside Udu Road is quiet. No one needs Dirty Chelsea tonight. 
No one is asking me to be bad. 
Just me, this pillow, and the thought of him. The DSC guy. 

My fingers touch my jaw like I can still feel where his hand was. 

God help me. I think I want it again.

Some of you know me as Dirty Chelsea from my stories.  But today I want to talk about the life behind the name.  The life of a show boy. This Is Me Look at this picture. White hair. Mint tee. Sitting in front of purple and gold wallpaper in my room in DSC. No filter. No pretense.  People see this and think "pretty boy".  "Soft life."  "Show boy." They don’t know what it costs to look like this and still survive. What "Show Boy" Really Means Where I’m from, in Delta State, "show boy" is what they call you when you’re young, you’re fine, and you’re trying to make it. It means: 1. You shine in public. Mint shirt ironed. Hair bleached white so they notice you. Smile even when your pocket is empty. 2. You hide in private. This purple wall is all I have.
