A Boy Named Chelsea From Isoko South By Chelsea Maya Johnson

Hello beautiful people,

My name is Chelsea. I’m an Isoko boy from Isoko South, Delta State, but these days you’ll find me in Warri, chasing dreams and building something real.

Warri taught me how to show up. Show up with confidence, show up with respect, and show up ready to make sure the people around me feel seen, valued, and satisfied with the energy I bring. 

For me, being a "showboy" isn’t just about looks. It’s about presence. It’s about walking into a room and bringing good vibes, loyalty, and the kind of discipline I learned back home in Isoko South. My people raised me to respect elders, to work hard, and to take pride in how I carry myself.

Living in Warri has opened my eyes. The hustle here is different. The people are bold, the streets are loud, and if you want to stand out, you have to be intentional. So I focus on grooming, on character, and on making sure that anyone who meets me leaves with a good impression.

I’m still learning, still growing. Isoko is my root, Warri is my classroom, and my goal is simple: build a name I’m proud of and make my people proud.

I’m lying on my bed in Steel Township, purple walls all around me. My white singlet is sticking to my skin from the heat.  Eyes closed. Breathing slow.  For once, the world outside Udu Road is quiet. No one needs Dirty Chelsea tonight.  No one is asking me to be bad.  Just me, this pillow, and the thought of him.
